Company History
Anime Nerds of Jamaica was founded by four young adults who shared a vision: to create an inclusive, dynamic space for Jamaicans who enjoy anime, esports, and pop culture. ANJ was born from a desire to offer local fans highly engaging events that blend international anime convention standards with a uniquely Jamaican twist, celebrating both our island’s culture and the global phenomena of anime and gaming. From the outset, our goal was to create experiences that capture the excitement of conventions in the USA, Japan, China, and Canada while adding a distinctly Jamaican flair.
Our journey began with our first event, a casual "Anime Picnic" link-up in 2015, which laid the foundation for what would become Jamaica’s premier anime event organization. Since then, ANJ has grown into one of the most recognized and respected anime event hosts in the country. Today, we proudly continue to offer innovative, high-quality events that connect and inspire our community, solidifying our place as leaders in the local anime and pop culture scene.
